At
some time in our lives, just about all of us want to lose a
little weight. Losing weight causes you to feel and look better,
as well as boost your self-image and confidence level. An ideal
place to begin for many people is to lose 10 pounds. Through
exercise most people can achieve this goal easily.
Prior to
starting your program to lose 10 pounds, take some quiet time
to consider the elements of your individual lifestyle. Ask yourself

of people today simply do not get enough exercise and activity,

Exercise seems cumbersome

thing that pops into their minds is joining a gym that they
really don't have time to go to. Of course going to the gym

The fact
is that most of us have lives that are pretty inactive. For
example, you may sit in a car to drive to work, then sit in
a chair at your office for 8 hours and finally sit in a car
to drive home. However, this is a time-consuming process that
may not leave you a whole lot of time to fit exercise into.
After all, you are so tired when you get home that all you want
to do is relax. So, with this schedule you decide that it's
almost impossible to find time to exercise.
It is really
not that difficult if you get a piece of exercise equipment
that you enjoy using. While you listen to music or watch your
favorite television program, you can hop on the Stairmaster
or take a ride on the exercise bike to get your exercise. After
all, you would be watching television anyway and you get to
wind down while getting fit and not lose any time doing it.
You can also try to
fit exercise in while you are at work. How many times did you
spend your lunch break in your stuffy office? A healthy break
from this routine is to take a walk. This may not seem like
a lot, but if you took a daily walk, at the end of the week
you will have walked for 5 hours. That is a great way to begin
increasing the amount of exercise you get. On your days off
and holidays, revel in active hobbies such as hiking or sports.
What is most important is to look for ways that you can get
exercise and have fun at the same time.
Starting a strenuous
exercise regimen will enable you to lose 10 pounds pretty quickly
but it is not always the most advantageous way to make it happen.
Making exercise feel like a job takes the pleasure out of it
and makes you want to find ways to get out of it. When you fit
exercise into your regular daily schedule, it is no longer work
but a fun time of the day you look forward to. An additional
benefit is that your energy level increases the more you exercise,
so you will be less tired when you come home from work and want
to have more activity. Suddenly, you have lost 10 pounds and
maybe even 20 will melt away.
